I am mostly a self taught designer/maker and studied Couture Tambour Beading at the London College of Fashion. I have worked freelance at this craft for many of Ireland’s couturiers in the ’80’s and ’90’s. I now work designing and making one off pieces of costume jewellery with beads, fabric and embroidery. I have taught Tambour Beading at the Grafton Academy and I run workshops during the year. I have a second side to my craft business which is zero waste focused and called Little Scrap. I make clothing, accessories and household items from recycled fabrics. Most successful are my rugs which are made using 100% recycled materials. I run workshops during the year.
